By using the Blokes system and images for alphabet letters A to X, the temporary state of the cube at different stages of the solution can be memorised. I also think that the mnemonic system where a digit is followed by a letter would be useful for memorising, in one image, the edge at the top blue face that needs to move to the middle tier; and which Tri-.. technique to use to do that. Eg. 1A could mean that the edge at position 1 needs the Tri-A move to make a green-sticker edge piece go to the middle tier.
